St Mary's Roman Catholic Primary School Intergenerational Project
We have been paired up with Rose Court Residential Home to take part in an intergenerational project. Year 3 volunteered to work with them!
We planted bulbs sent to us by Rose Court.
The residents wrote postcards to Year 3 and we wrote some to them!
At Christmas the lady running the project came into school to do a workshop with us. We made Christmas cards. We sent christmas decorations and cards to the care home with some gifts of bisucits and chocoates.
In January, we drew pictures of birds we saw around school and made bird feeders that the residents can place in the gardens.

In march,we have been tending to our bulbs and used them as inspiration to create daffoldil art work to mark the National Day of Reflection
We also had a special visit from the Lady running the project and Mrs Ahmed, they taught us all about Eid and Ramadan, we made special geometric tiles to send to Rose Court.
